If you already have the original gold, then get Perl.
If you already have money from home, then get Heart of gold.
If you do not originals, so you can get two on 2 Dex instead of a job.
Perl, because I want gold and crystal.
The main differences are the Pokemon, and especially exclusive version. In other words, do not have some Pokémon Pearl Heart gold, and vice versa. This is pretty much the only difference.
